Gold Chain

22K GOLD, 2023

The chain, composed of hand-shaped links in 22-carat gold, draws inspiration from European jewellery of the sixteenth century. Simple in construction, massive chains appear in numerous Renaissance portraits of the elite as symbols of status, stability and power. The design recreates their characteristic form, in which the absence of ornamentation emphasises the purity and clarity of the structure.
