Blue Diamond Ring

The ring is set with a natural garnet-coloured diamond in a Dutch marquise cut. Its proportions and symmetry reference classical Roman rings of the second and third centuries CE, characterised by geometric harmony of form. The marquise cut accentuates both the symmetry of the stone and the overall composition, reinforcing its historical associations. The form of the ring also relates to the maker’s personal mark (gmerk), used to sign his works.
