Tomasz Wichrowski is a Polish goldsmith, jewellery designer, collector, and researcher of historic jewellery forms. Born and based in Warsaw, his practice combines traditional goldsmithing techniques with a sustained reflection on the symbolism of objects and their cultural and historical contexts.
He obtained his goldsmith’s diploma in 2011. His professional path encompasses both studio practice and many years of editorial work. Between 2015 and 2024, he was associated with Przekrój — Poland’s oldest magazine devoted to culture and society — where he headed the photography section and published texts on the history of jewellery, precious and ornamental stones, as well as art and culture more broadly.
Following his return to goldsmithing practice, he developed a distinct artistic language in his own studio, focusing on the reinterpretation of historic techniques and jewellery forms within the context of contemporary design. Each of his works is made by hand as a unique object, in which meticulous craftsmanship is combined with artistic narrative and a research-driven approach to the history of jewellery.
